Mother's Day Ideas

Mother's Day is only two days away! I'm rounding up some ideas of how you can celebrate with mom.

  1. Pamper Sesh. Treat mom or yourself to a hair appointment, nails, facial, tanning, massage, hair extensions or something of the sorts. I linked some of my favorite ladies that I go to for ya!

  2. Visit the wineries. If you need help picking which one to visit, I created a blog post of my favorites here.

  3. Carlsbad Flower Fields. You have to buy your tickets online before you go! When I go here with my girls, we start at the flower fields and then we go have lunch and shop at the Carlsbad Outlets right next door.

  4. Speaking of outlets...you can take mom to the Desert Hills Premium Outlets. This is one of my favorite shopping destinations!

  5. Brunch at the Catamaran or Paradise Point in San Diego. Both have restaurants right on the water. These are great places for the kids too! Bring your bikes and cruise around Mission Bay.

  6. Hotel Del. Go to eat or walk around, it's a gorgeous spot!

  7. Disneyland. This is where I'll be on Mother's Day, obvi!

  8. Let mom relax. As moms, we are usually the ones to do all of the planning, cooking, cleaning, etc. Cook for mom all day long and clean the house. Don't ask, just do!

  9. Put together a gift basket of some of mom's favorite things.

  10. What has mom been saying she wants to buy or do, make it happen lol!

When you're planning Mother's Day for mom, really think about what she needs right now or what she enjoys doing. What would absolutely make her day?

A lot of the time our family celebrates on an off day because Mother's Day is deemed as the busiest day of the year for restaurants and none of us are huge on crowds and chaos. I am very blessed with a mom and mother-in-law that are very easy going and flexible about celebrating holidays, but I know that is not the case for everyone. If you are a grandma reading this, let whoever is in the thick of "mom-ing" enjoy her day however she sees fit. There's no harm in celebrating on a different day.

Whatever you decide to do for Mother's Day, I hope it fills you with joy!

Happy Mother's Day!

XOXO,

Jodi
